Open Box works with a standard Engagement
Model.
Depending on the size of the project, some of these
steps happen over and over again, with separate phases
of the project. With a sizeable project, we have found
that breaking it up into smaller pieces and cycling through
each of these phases rapidly is much more likely to lead
to a successful project, as is frequent
user input.
Steps in the process include:
1 |
Preliminary Meeting |
| Needs fit and expertise fit |
 |
2 |
Analysis Session |
| What business problem are we solving?
Constraints? Company processes? |
 |
3 |

| Solving business problems through
solid technical & user-oriented design |
 |
4 |
Contract |
| Fixed price; agreed upon timeline; milestones
for delivery |
 |
5 |
Development |
| Ongoing communication during in-house
development phase; rapid prototyping |
 |
6 |

| User acceptance testing while documentation
is being finalized |
 |
